Our ProjectsDigital TV for Central TelegraphLocation: Moscow Completion date: 01.07.2006 Summer 2006, Moscow: I.S.P.A.-Engineering company, well-known Russian system integrator, has completed the building of IP TV Head-End for the Central Telegraph (CenTel). Central Telegraph is one of 10 leading IP TV and other services providers in Russia. It is also one of the oldest communications company in Russia with over then 150 years’ history. If fact the IP TV complex built by I.S.P.A.-Engineering consists of two similar IP TV stations located in two different sites. They are based on TANDBERG Television’s equipment and Ncompass control software. One of them gets channels from a satellite and remultiplexes and encapsulates them into IP with DM 6400 Cherry Picker. Another one receives channels from various TV studios, encodes them into MPEG-2 format and encapsulates them into IP TV with TANDBERG Television’s equipment. The both stations are designed to form a multicasting IP-stream of 16 TV programs and input it into MetroEthernet traffic network. It uses MPEG-2 4:2:0 MP&ML, CBR compression. An output stream can vary in the range from 3 to10 Mbps for each service. An output interface of the system is 1000Base-CX/SX/LX 1 Gbit/sec interface. The Head-End’s equipment supports both IP-multicast and IP-unicast modes for TV programs broadcasting. The solution offered by I.S.P.A.-Engineering was the most cost effective one. That is why it came on top in a large tender announced by the Central Telegraph. ContactsTelecommunications DepartmentTel: +7 (495) 784 75 75 E-mail: sat@ispa.ru Return to the list of projects |
